Proverbs 16:7

When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

What a dreadful existence to be always in conflict and strife, and what a blessing to be at peace with your neighbors, to cease from strife and have a little tranquility. When a man obeys the Lord, honors his son Jesus, and by a life of honesty, fairness, and following the teachings of the Bible, tries to please the Lord, God makes even this man’s enemies to be at peace with him. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31
