John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Ordinarily we are so occupied with earning a living, pursuing the lusts and desires of the flesh, and solving day to day problems that the thought of God, or turning to Him from our sinful way of life scarcely enters our mind. The scripture here teaches that UNLESS the Father whispers in our ear, tugs at our hearts and draws us to Christ, we will continue in our path of heedlessness and sin which leads to eternal shame and contempt, and separation from God and all that is pleasant and good. IF THE IDEA ENTERS YOUR HEAD, or the suggestion enters your heart that perhaps you should actually receive Jesus and live for Him, THAT is when the Holy Spirit is whispering to you: “SON, IT IS TIME”. The Father is DRAWING YOU at such a time, and the door of salvation is OPEN. It is when the angel is troubling the waters that healing is offered. Behold, NOW is the accepted time, TODAY is the day of Salvation. You may get another call….and then, who knows? Life is short, and ETERNITY IS LONG; Jesus is a gracious and loving Savior. HIS arms are open. Are yours?
