James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

The air we breathe, the food we eat, the life that we enjoy: all blessings that we have come from God, and are GIFTS from His bounty and love. What is THE BEST GIFT that we have from God? “For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.’’ John 3:16. God removed from heaven its’ brightest and best gem, and GAVE HIS SON to be abused, mocked, and crucified as punishment for our sins, thus opening the door of salvation for all who will enter in. As Isaiah says, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a SON IS GIVEN.” Isaiah 9:6. What do you have to do with a gift? YOU RECEIVE IT, OR REJECT IT.
