John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
If you love a person, you will not steal from, lie to, or mistreat him. Therefore, Jesus said that love is the fulfilling of the law, because love works no ill to his neighbor, Romans 13:10. What does love do if it sees someone hungry? It feeds him. What does love do if it sees someone thirsty or lacking clothing? It supplies the need. Millennia ago God viewed our world in its’ ignorance, sinfulness and depravity; totally given over to self-will, lust, pride, envy and all the unfruitful works of darkness. That was the situation then and it is so today. Did the love of God leave us in that situation with no possible way of change? No! God’s love devised a method by which we could be changed, have our sins forgiven and have eternal life. HE SENT HIS SON! True love will move us to action. Let us love one another even as Jesus loved us, and let us demonstrate that love by our life and our actions. Go with God.
