1 Thessalonians 2:12

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

Walk worthy of God? Talk about aiming HIGH! This is beyond aiming at the stars. To fully do this in ourselves alone is impossible, but we can APPROXIMATE it in varying degrees as we yield ourselves to the only one who ever lived a perfect life on this earth……our blessed Savior and Surety, the Lord Jesus Christ. As we follow Jesus and try to please Him, God counts this to us as righteousness, and TO THE DEGREE that we obey Him and walk with Him, TO THAT DEGREE we experience fellowship with Him and real joy and peace in our hearts. Look what follows; LOOK WHAT HE HAS CALLED US TO! He has called us to His Kingdom and His glory! Let us begin the day with prayer and devotions to Him, and strive to eliminate everything that is displeasing to Him; to pursue everything that brings Him honor, while we LOOK FORWARD TO BEING WITH HIM in His Kingdom and His glory, whether we leave this world in the rapture of the Church, or go the way of all flesh.
