Isaiah 12:5

Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

We are exhorted here to sing praises to the LORD. Then we are told the reason; for He hath done excellent things. When He beheld our world seething in lust, sin, and rebellion against God, he could have left us to the awful consequences, but God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son to save us from our sins. Sing praises to the LORD; He was willing to be crucified in our place. Sing praise to the LORD; He triumphed over death and rose from the grave. Sing praises to the LORD; He is preparing a place for us in heaven and is coming again to receive us unto Himself. Sing praises to the LORD.
