Romans 8:37

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

In previous verses Paul lists everything that might be supposed to be able to separate us from the love of Christ; things like persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, or martyrdom, and his conclusion is that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. When any or all these things befall us, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Right here, right now we have joy unspeakable and full of glory in the blessed access to God and fellowship in the Holy Spirit: and afterward, a crown of glory and eternal bliss that we are incapable of even imagining. So when things don’t run smoothly, or problems come because of your service to Christ, don’t be discouraged. Paul said, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
