Colossians 3:4

Colossians 3:4
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
The Bible tells us that our being immersed under water in Baptism is a symbol of being buried with Christ, and that rising from the baptismal waters symbolizes our being raised from the dead to walk in newness of life in Him. Therefore, Colossians 3:3 which precedes our verse for today tells us that being dead to the flesh, our life is hid with Christ in God, so that the blessedness and reality of this will be manifest, “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Thus it is said in Titus 2:13 that “We look for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” “We know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2.
