Psalms 34:8

Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
We must personally experience God’s love and salvation. It is not enough to hear what others say, or to see God’s blessings in their lives. Each individual must see and experience for himself. Suppose we are invited to a feast. The food is on the stove, and smells delicious. All things are ready. What is left but to sit down, taste, eat, and enjoy. “O taste and see that the LORD is good.” God’s bounty is prepared and available to you. There is a universe of blessings unseen and inexperienced and a storehouse of treasure. You may admire, and you my marvel, but it means nothing to you until you partake. .” David Dickson said, “All is but a taste.” You need to find out and experience this for yourself. When you have tasted and partaken of the Lord’s salvation and the blessings that flow to us through Christ crucified, buried, and resurrected, you will say like the Psalmist, “The LORD is good."
Commentary by Francis L. Harris
"...what must I do to be saved?" Acts 16:30
