Micah 7:7

Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

The first seven verses of Micah describe the human condition. Please read them. The picture is pretty bleak. Verse 2 says, “The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men.” Is this exaggeration? If it is not true, then why is the world in the condition that it is in with the hatred, lying, cheating, poverty, etc. You make a business deal, you loan money, share an apartment, co-sign on a loan, etc. and trouble is on the way. Verse 4 says, “The best of them is as a brier, (or thorn). What is to be done? The solution is in verse seven. “Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” What this old sin-sick, chaotic, suffering world needs is Jesus: Jesus in the heart, Jesus in the home, and Jesus in the country. Dear God, let us have this reformation, and let it begin in me. Amen.
