Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Many an underachiever or shy violet has been brought to blossom by an encouraging word, and many have been crushed by criticism, or even worse, mockery. It is a blessing to live around people that are gracious, pleasant and encouraging but what a trial to be among those that are constantly complaining and critical. Yes, pleasant words are as a honeycomb, but even sweeter than honey are the words of our Savior, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
