2 Corinthians 5:21

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
It is a staggering concept: that the pure, unblemished, holy Son of God was made to Be sin for us. All our sins were placed on Him and He bore the guilt of every sin that has been or will be committed. So complete was this transaction that His heavenly Father turned away His face from His own beloved Son and that is when Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Mark 15:34. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.” Galatians 3:13. Just as amazing is the fact that we are made the righteousness of God in Him. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” But this amazing transaction is efficacious, or effective, only for those who accept Jesus as their Savior by repenting, and receiving Him into their heart by faith. Everything that you need now, or through eternity, is in Him. Amen.
