Revelation 21:6
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
This is my Father’s world. He is the Alpha and Omega, that is, A to Z. Nothing came before and nothing comes after. The sinner reverses this and sets himself at the center of the universe. He says, “It’s all about Me.” A long time ago there were astronomers that thought that the world was the center of the universe, and everything revolved around it. What would you think of someone who still clings to that belief. Crazy as it is, that is what the sinner does in the Spiritual realm. He defies the Creator, sets up self-interest as the rule of conduct, and lives as though everything is here to serve himself. When the inevitable failure and frustration comes, the end is not pretty. Sometimes they waste away in bitterness and disillusion, and sometimes the egomaniac goes out in a “blaze of glory.” That is exactly what makes this world what it is. We have all been guilty of being egocentric in this way and that is what produces all the sin and mal-function in God’s universe. But here is the GOOD NEWS. Jesus died to atone for our guilt, and He offers us complete pardon and salvation, holding out His arms to us and saying, “I will give to him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” Gracious invitation! He will change your motivation, forgive you of your sins, and give you A NEW HEART. “Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
