Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

We read in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews about the heroes of the faith, and we feel, “I’d like to be like that. I’d like to live in God’s presence, and walk in the power, love, and fullness of the Spirit. How do I become a person of faith, living in the power and joy of fellowship with the Lord? In this verse we have the key that enables us to do that. I’m not sure who it was, (I believe it was Dwight L. Moody) who said, “I used to pray, Lord increase my faith. Please give me more faith. Then I saw this verse that says, Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So I began diligently reading and studying the Word, and faith has been growing ever since.” If you want to be able to live above the world and to walk with God, begin deep Bible study. This is God’s Word, and as we feed on it, our faith grows, because, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Amen
