1 Corinthians 1:3
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Grace from God is the unmerited favor that He bestows upon us because of our relationship to His Son Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, and purchased our access into this grace wherein we stand. “Grace be unto you, and peace.” Peace, the calm, blessed assurance that we have because our sins are forgiven, and we have surrendered to Christ who is the Prince of Peace. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.” John 14:27. The Fountain of this grace, that is, the source of it all, is God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. “Praise God from whom all blessings flow.” However, the Bible says of a person who does not take up his cross and follow Christ that “the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36, and “The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked.” Proverbs 3:33.. My desire for you is the same as Paul says here: “Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Amen.
