Matthew 6:14

Matthew 6:14
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Included in “The Lord’s Prayer”, which Jesus had just taught his disciples is the idea that we should ask God’s forgiveness, as we forgive others who sin against us. How much has God forgiven us? How deep was your guilt, and how heavy was the burden of your sin? As for myself, I know that only the death of Jesus on the cross could have purchased my salvation. Beloved, if God in His great love and mercy has forgiven us our sins, let us have a heart filled with magnanimity and love so that we forgive those that do wrong to us. If we are spiteful, vengeful and small-minded we only hurt ourselves, and either we have not been saved or we are not walking in fellowship with the one who loved us, and “gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” 1 Timothy 2:6.
