Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
If you go back to verse 28 and read the verses that precede today’s verse, you read that all things work together for the good of those who are called according to God’s purpose, that those whom God did foreknow, he predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, and that those he predestinated he called: and those that he called, he justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Indeed, what shall we say to these things? Hallelujah! There is an unbroken chain starting with God’s purpose, his foreknowledge, our predestination to be conformed to the image of His Son, our calling, our justification, and our glorification. What shall we say? All I can think of is, Wow! And then very reverently, thank you Jesus!
