Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
We live in a world given to change. We are born, we live, dream, plan, hope, strive, suffer and then we pass on. The astronomers tell us that the very stars are born, have a life, and then die, while new stars repeat the same cycle. All that we see impresses us with the transitory nature of everything. But blessed be God, after all created things have suffered annihilation, the Word of God will still remain. God’s kingdom stands fast, and Jesus, the living Word, will reign forever and ever and ever. Where will you be in this vast scheme of things?

Commentary by Francis L. Harris
