Isaiah 65:17
October 18
Isaiah 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
As we look abroad in the earth we see a world engulfed in confusion, slander, broken promises, lies, murders, intrigues, pain and bedlam. The cause of all this misery is the rebellious heart of man who disobeys the teachings and commands of God in order to pursue his own desires, wishes, schemes, and designs with the obvious results of confusion, suffering and pain. But the text tells us of the time when King Jesus will reign, His will shall be done, there will be no more self-will, lying, cheating, or perversions or sins of any sort. The Bible tells us that peace will flow like a river, righteousness will cover the world like the oceans, the lion will lie down beside the lamb in sweet harmony. We each need to ask ourselves if we would fit in and form a harmonious part of this new world? If not, we need to betake ourselves to the Savior, ask pardon for our sins, put our faith in Him and let Him give us a new heart, so that we will be prepared to take our part in a world of righteousness. Amen
