Revelation 11:15

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The chaos that we see in the world is the product of the sinful, rebellious heart of man, bringing forth the problems and misery that characterize our world. The Bible teaches that this will increase to a rising crescendo of suffering and problems during a seven year period called The Great Tribulation which will come on the world after the return of Jesus for His church, that is, all the born-again Christians. The unsaved will be left behind to endure the plagues and suffering that will follow during this seven year period. The sounding of this seventh trumpet occurs toward the end of the tribulation period at the height of the anguish, perplexity, wars and bloodshed on the face of the earth. It is then that we hear as it were the Hallelujah Chorus of Handel and the words, He shall reign forever and ever. What a glorious, and at the same time dreadful event that will be. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
