John 14:28

John 14:28
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Jesus was about to be crucified, buried, resurrected and then to ascend to the Father, leaving His disciples on earth. After the marvelous and joyful experiences of three years, He was going away from them to heaven. He told them not to be sad for His sake as though this were something bad for him; on the contrary, He would be with the Father in whose presence is fullness of joy. They were not to feel bad for themselves because He would send them the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, who now dwells in all who are born again. Praise His name!
