1 Thessalonians 1:10

And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Jesus is in heaven at the right hand of the Father, waiting as the prophesied events on planet earth are unfolding. And as He waits, we also wait; we wait for His glorious appearing when He comes back to this earth to reign as King. This verse tells us two more things about Jesus: 1. God raised Him from the dead!! And 2. Jesus has delivered us from the wrath to come!! THE WRATH TO COME. Jesus has delivered us from the anger of God which was on account of our wretched and miserable sin and rebellion against Him, but this anger and wrath is treasured up and held in store for those whose lifestyle, self-pleasing, and waywardness hold them back from bowing the knee to Jesus and serving Him as Lord and Savior. THERE IS STILL TIME. As John the Baptist said, Let us flee from the wrath to come, and embrace the blessed promises and salvation so freely offered through the blood of Jesus. Amen
