Titus 2:11

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Grace is the unmerited favor of God. It gives blessing to those who deserve the exact opposite. Our verse tells us that the grace of God that brings salvation refers to Jesus coming into this sinful world with the set purpose of dying on the cross for our sins, and being resurrected so that all who believe on Him can have eternal life. This beacon light of salvation has crossed the world and appeared to all men, telling us the good news that God is love, He hates our evil and disobedience, and He has made a way whereby we can receive forgiveness for our sins and have eternal life. This grace has appeared to all men, so that we are without excuse if we do not respond to God’s offer of free pardon through His Son Jesus Christ.
