Malachi 3:6

Malachi 3:6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Why were the Israelites, or the sons of Jacob not destroyed when they crossed the Sinai Desert to the Promised Land of Israel? They were a group of wayward, disobedient complainers. Why are they not consumed or destroyed today, completely surrounded as they are by those that desire to destroy them? There is only one answer: God is faithful. When He begins a work, He will complete it. When we come to Christ and have our sins washed away in the blood of Jesus, how do we know that even after being saved we will not perish after all? We stumble, we fail, we falter. What assurance do we have of our ultimate, final salvation? GOD IS FAITHFUL. He said, “Him that cometh to me, I will in NO WISE cast out.” John 6:37. Our salvation is built on the SOLID ROCK of GOD’S WORD. He never began a work that He did not finish.
