Matthew 16:24

Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Before we are saved we are servants of the flesh. WE WILL DO WHAT WE WANT TO DO; whatever brings pleasure, whatever brings comfort, whatever is gratifying and agreeable to our nature and desires. The Bible says that they that are Christ’s have CRUCIFIED THE FLESH and the lusts thereof. There is a CHANGE in our life when we come to Christ. “If any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creation, or a new being.” NO CHANGE, NO SALVATION. We are not perfect, but we have a different direction in life. There has been an about face as a result of our encounter with Christ. Would you be Christ’s disciple, or follower? Then yield to Him, receive Him into your heart by faith, and take up your cross and follow Him. Thus begins the most useful and blessed life HERE on earth, and joy unspeakable and full of glory WHEN HE RETURNS and we are caught up to meet Him in the air to begin an eternity of blessedness and joy which He is now preparing for us. “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”. Amen.
