Exodus 23:25
December 4
Exodus 23:25
And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
The prayer I prayed at bedtime for years was the simple prayer my mother taught me as a child……
God is my health, I can’t be sick,
God is my strength, unfailing quick,
God is my all, I know no fear,
For God, and love, and truth is here.
I don’t believe our verse for today is a mere platitude. I believe that God is REAL, and He means exactly what He says in this verse. Notice the first part of the verse: “AND YE SHALL SERVE THE LORD”. There. Follow that closely. THERE IS THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE BLESSING. My Father is omnipotent, all merciful and all loving, and He blesses all those that SERVE Him. Surrender your life to Him and He will bless you as you come in, and as you go out; He will bless as you rise up, and as you lie down. Proverbs 3:7,8 says: ``Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be HEALTH to thy navel and marrow to thy bones.”
