Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

From OUR point of view, a CHILD is born; the babe in the manger, our LORD Jesus. From GOD’S point of view, His SON is given; handed over to be mocked, scourged and crucified for our sins. It will take an eternity to try to comprehend the Love of God that was willing to part with His Son and allow Him to be MADE SIN for us. Not just to SUFFER for our sin, but to be MADE SIN. Consider this child’s name: Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. All this and much more; The Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and the End, Savior, The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. This is a remarkable prophecy by Isaiah 700 years BEFORE the virgin birth of Jesus! When He was born into this world, they came from afar to adore Him. Let us also adore Him as they did that night in Bethlehem.
