1 John 4:2
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
It was an ancient heresy and error that taught that Jesus was a mere spirit with the illusion of a flesh and blood body: John calls this the spirit of antichrist. Through the miracle of the incarnation, Jesus had a real flesh and blood body. It was His real flesh that was beaten and torn with a whip; a real face that was spit upon; real hands that had nails driven thru them; real blood that was shed for our sins; and a real body that was resurrected from the grave. Hallelujah! Isaiah 53:5 says: “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Let us worship and adore Him. Amen.
