Luke 11:41

Luke 11:41
But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
The hypocritical Pharisees criticized the disciples of Jesus, for not washing their hands before eating. And this would have been perfectly in order, because throughout the Old Testament is taught various washings and cleansings. However, the point of the whole thing is that the Pharisees had so much worse sin and uncleanness in their OWN lives that it was totally ridiculous for them to be blaming ANYONE, for ANYTHING; sort of like the “pot calling the kettle black”. It is sort of like if you have piles and piles of garbage and filth in your OWN back yard, and you criticize your neighbor for some slight thing such as one or two leaves in HIS back yard. In other words, YOU get rid of your tremendous load of accumulated guilt and sin by coming to Jesus and repenting of YOUR sins, and YOU WILL SEE EVERYTHING DIFFERENTLY. “Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”, 2 Corinthians 5:17. “All things are clean unto you”.
