Psalms 16:1
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
We have a fear of falling from the time we were toddlers. Falling is the number one theme on funniest videos. As Christians we sometimes fear that perhaps we might turn from God, and go back into the world of sin and self-pleasing. Sometimes this may happen for a season. But if we have truly understood that Jesus died for our sins and if we have received Him as our Savior by repentance and faith, WE BELONG TO HIM. Your sins are placed on Jesus and His righteousness is placed on you. Thereafter, if you walk in the Spirit, you will have a peaceful, joyous, useful, overcoming life. Otherwise, you will have a wretched, unfruitful life of stumbling, falling, rising up, and then falling. If you go back into deep sin and the ways of the world, then it is possible that God will deliver your body over to Satan “for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” 1 Corinthians 5:5. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:5.
