Ephesians 5:14

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Many are living their lives as though this world is all there is, and we will be here forever. To focus solely on this world and to ignore the eternal realities is compared to being asleep or being dead. How quickly the dream must end. How soon each of us must stand before God to give an account of every deed done in the flesh, to explain why he rejected God’s Son, and why he chose to live for the world, the flesh and the devil. Knowing the terror of God and the judgment to come, the Bible mercifully urges us to awake from this sleep of death, to embrace Christ as our Savior, and receive the life, the TRUE life that He offers us. Awake 0 Sleeper, “arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light”.
