John 19:28
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Toward the end of his crucifixion, having become our sin bearer, Jesus said, “I thirst.” Even the small gratification of a drink of water was denied him as they filled a sponge with vinegar and offered it to him. After this he said, “It is finished”, bowed his head and gave up the ghost. After he was dead and placed in the tomb, Pilate gave permission to roll a large stone to seal the tomb and to set a Roman guard to make sure that he STAYED in the tomb; and that was the end of the matter…………… OR SO THEY THOUGHT.
