Romans 12:21

Romans 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
The worlds wisdom is retaliation; an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Fight fire with fire. This is not the way of the Kingdom. Jesus said "Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that despitefully use you”. What a Savior we have! What a total contrast to the belligerent religious systems of this world, that advocate violence and bloodshed. As a Christian, you represent Christ, and so your life should shine as a light, and direct others to our Father in heaven. To do this, is to overcome evil with good; and if you accompany this with prayer, you may even be instrumental in bringing them to a “knowledge of the truth”, 1 Timothy 1:4, so that theirs will be an eternity of blessing in the presence of the heavenly Father, rather than having to endure the eternal torments of those who never surrender to Christ.
Commentary by Francis L. Harris
"...what must I do to be saved?" Acts 16:30
