Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Many harbor hard thoughts about God, as though He were unwilling to hear or to save. The truth is that those that are unsaved and distant from God are in that condition because they choose to be. Jesus said, “You will not come to me, that you might have life”. John 5:40. Not only is He willing to change our lives and set us on the way to a blessed eternity in heaven, but He reasons with us, {almost pleading}, “Turn ye, turn ye, for why will ye die?” Ezekiel 33:11. As our text states, anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, if he sincerely seeks God, and truly calls upon Him. Like the song says, “Your sins He’ll wash away, your night, he’ll turn to day; Your life, he’ll make it over again”.... if you will let Him.
