John 12:46

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Jesus is a light come into the world indeed. The whole world lies in darkness NOW, but try to imagine this world without the advent of Him who is the light of the world; the one who takes away the sin of the world. The purpose of his coming into the world is that those that believe on Him should not abide in darkness, that is bound and chained by the old habits of sin, deceit and corruption; but on the contrary, walk in newness of life, with the one goal of honoring and pleasing the one who loved us and gave Himself for our sins.

Unfortunately, many times sinners are left with the impression that they can come to Christ and then continue to live in their old, sinful ways, which is called, “walking in darkness”. “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. 2 Cor.5:17. Blessed Jesus, strengthen me to live as you would have me live. Amen.
