Revelation 4:8

Revelation 4:8
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Anything that is impure, evil, bawdy, or wrong is contrary to the nature of God, whereas He is everything that is good, pure, true, and beautiful. God’s holiness is given in 1 Peter 1:16 as the reason that we should be holy: “It is written, Be ye holy for I am holy”. Imagine! These angels do not cease their praise day or night. What a contrast to the scene on earth where God’s name is profaned and blasphemed constantly to give emphasis to cursing and swearing.
If we could just get merely a glimpse of the righteousness, magnificence and holiness of God, it would drive us to our knees as it did Job, who said, “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes”. Job 42:5,6. You and I must one day stand in the presence of this awesome God, to give an account of the deeds that we have done while here on earth. You must either face this judgment alone, or have Jesus as your attorney, advocate and Savior. Without Christ, we are hopelessly lost. We need a righteousness and a purity that is above and beyond us; a righteousness that is not our own, but that is GIVEN FREELY to us. Jesus is our righteousness. His righteousness is placed on us, even as our sins were placed on Him. “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption”. 1 Corinthians 1:30. Have you truly surrendered to Him?
