1 Peter 1:15

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

There is an absolute standard of right and wrong; an ABSOLUTE standard. In ancient Israel, “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17:6, which is akin to high flown “moral relativism” which quickly morphs into “do as you please”, with the results that we see in our national life which resembles Sodom and Gomorrah, in the filthy speech, sexual deviation, cohabitation without marriage, fraud, lying and moral chaos which we daily witness, and with which our media are filled.

But we are to be holy in all our behavior; everything we do, say, or think. Jesus “died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.” 1 Peter 1:15 Our time here is short. Look to Jesus, follow Him, and strive to be like Him. Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift. Amen.
