John 13:35

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

“He that loves not does not know God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8. God so loved the world that He gave His son to die for our sins. John 3:16. “When Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.” John 13:1. The true badge and seal of Christianity is love, and when one genuine Christian encounters another there is spontaneous sympathy and love. If this seems not to be the case with us, we should examine our hearts to see if indeed we be in the Faith. If this is the case then “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” 1 John 3:14.
