Leviticus 20:7

Leviticus 20:7
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
In the verses that follow this one, (8-22), all types of impurity and perversion are forbidden. Paul says, “For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” Ephesians 5:12. But holiness not only means separation from all impurity, which is the negative sense, but also to be dedicated to the things of God in a positive sense. This means things like your prayer life, reading the Word, church attendance, and, in a word, obedience to the will of God. If any man doesn’t understand what God’s will is, let him read the Bible and he will soon understand that he must receive Jesus as his Savior, and live in obedience to His teachings. “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” Rev. 4:8.
